Molly Mormon Standards on Trial
Kansas City First Ward
For the Strength of Youth
For our Standards Night this year we decided to put “Molly Mormon Standards” on trial. Miss Molly Mormon Standards was charged with a count of deference to modesty and a second count of intolerance to trend with popular culture. Both counts were in violation of the rules of the State of Cool. The Honorable Judge Bishop presided over the trial. There were three witnesses that took the stand against Molly Mormon Standards; Prom Queen, Candy Samples and Ava Tar. And there were three witnesses that testified in behalf of Miss Molly Mormon Standards; Miss Humility Anne Modesty, Miss Integrity Virtue (Ivy) Wisdom and Miss Divine Nature. Ms. Cool (the prosecutor) argued hard and long against Miss Molly Mormon Standards. But Ms. P. (Personal) Progress was a tough defender and in the end the jury (the achievement/activity age girls) found Miss Molly Mormon Standards NOT GUILTY. The jury all received their personal copy of “For the Strength of Youth” Booklet.
For refreshments, just as all graduates of law school have to pass the bar, we all enjoyed passing the ice cream bar.
